Our Mission

Our mission is to provide a safe environment for all stray and abandoned cats and dogs. We find suitable homes, and we coordinate and fund rehabilitation, if necessary. We provide assistance and financial aid to prevent overpopulation, and run rescue missions in emergency situations.

Our Focus

We are the American Animal Rescue League. We are a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, EIN 82-2689210. We are dedicated to using technology to help rescue lost and unwanted animals.

At the American Animal Rescue League, we believe that coordination is the solution to animal overpopulation crisis. 

Synergy

Whether we are working with local shelters and volunteer pilots, or matching up rescued dogs with organizations that are a thousand miles away, we believe that resources are best used when they are coordinated together using synergy to make a sum greater than the whole.

Community

We believe that the power of people, harnessed with the incredible communication medium of the internet, can combine together to solve the pet overpopulation problem. Join us in our work to coordinate separate shelters, rescues, and clinics together to eliminate waste, maximize efforts, and succeed together.

Programs

These are a few of our most recent programs. Each and every year, we work across the country, involving people of every age, interest and need.

Eye Exams

Sight is critical for for animals, from dog walks to recognizing friends. We create  eye exam programs so no animal needs to squint when they look for their future.

Medical Care

We coordinate with veterarians from everything from spay/neuter programs to rabies vaccines. 

Toy Donation

Some familes have moredog toys than they know what to do with, while others have few good toys to speak of. We strive to matchmake between tyos and dog-families in need with our year-long toy donation program.

Special Needs

Bringing up a healthy and happy animal is particularly challenging for underprivileged families dealing with pets who have special needs. We offer  assistance to these families to help with needed veterinary care.

Animal Therapy

Numerous studies have shown that being with animals helps people overcome learning difficulties, emotional challenges and more. Not every family can have a household pet, so our pet therapy program enables children to enjoy the benefit of having a pet without the cost.

Activities

Just like people, animals can get bored, too! Through funruns, get-togethers, and dogpark outings, dogs deserve to have fun. We create opportunities for families to interact with their pets positive and fun ways..
